Terms of Service

Effective August 1, 2026

Overview

These Terms are between you and Ankur Gupta LLC, a United States limited liability company that operates the game under the name CHESS/RUPT. They apply to your use of CHESS/RUPT, including gameplay modes, Game Center features, and purchases made through Apple. By downloading or using CHESS/RUPT, you agree to these Terms. If you are not old enough to agree where you live, a parent or guardian must approve your use.

While Apple's developer-account conversion is pending, the App Store may identify Ankur Gupta personally as the seller of record. Ankur Gupta LLC remains the operator of CHESS/RUPT under these Terms.

Chessrupt may be stylized as “CHESS/RUPT” in the app, App Store, website, and marketing materials. Both forms identify the same game and are covered by these Terms.

Apple License Terms

Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to the licensed CHESS/RUPT app. These Terms supplement that agreement for CHESS/RUPT-specific gameplay, support, and purchase behavior. If these Terms conflict with mandatory law or Apple's Standard EULA for the app license, the mandatory law or Standard EULA controls.

Free Experience

Everyone receives three new plays each day across Free Play, Crown Trials, and Puzzle Mode. Daily Challenge and Daily Puzzle remain free. CHESS/RUPT does not display advertising and does not offer ad-based refills.

Unlimited Plays

Unlimited Plays is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by Apple. While the premium entitlement is active, it removes the daily play limit. Restore Purchases asks Apple to restore eligible entitlements for the current Apple ID. Unlimited Plays does not unlock a separate subscription, consumable currency, randomized reward, or gameplay advantage. CHESS/RUPT uses RevenueCat as a service provider to validate and restore the Unlimited Plays entitlement.

Unlimited Plays does not guarantee permanent availability of separate Apple services such as Game Center, leaderboards, or achievements. CHESS/RUPT may update gameplay, modes, balance, and presentation through normal app updates, but will not intentionally revoke purchased Unlimited Plays access while the entitlement is active.

Gameplay And Availability

CHESS/RUPT is a game of skill and chance-like procedural variation, not gambling. Scores, streaks, generated challenges, balance, modes, and rules may change through app updates. CHESS/RUPT does not promise that every generated position has the same difficulty or that optional online services are continuously available. Active purchase entitlements remain subject to the specific promise above.

Game Center Availability

Leaderboards, achievements, and other Game Center features depend on Apple services, network availability, compatible app versions, and ongoing support. CHESS/RUPT may modify or discontinue optional Game Center integrations. Local gameplay does not require Game Center sign-in.

Acceptable Use

Do not reverse engineer the app except where applicable law permits it, interfere with service operation, manipulate Game Center submissions, evade purchase controls, or use CHESS/RUPT in a way that violates law or another person's rights. CHESS/RUPT may restrict connected features when reasonably necessary to protect the app, players, Apple services, or legal compliance.

Intellectual Property

CHESS/RUPT's original code, game presentation, and original assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party assets and services remain owned and licensed by their respective owners. These Terms do not transfer ownership of original CHESS/RUPT content or third-party content to you.

Refunds

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple where required or applicable. CHESS/RUPT does not control Apple's refund decisions or App Store billing systems.

Disclaimers And Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CHESS/RUPT is provided as available without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. CHESS/RUPT is not responsible for outages or decisions controlled by Apple, network providers, or device settings. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CHESS/RUPT's developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app. These limitations do not exclude liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Privacy

The CHESS/RUPT Privacy Policy explains local data, Apple services, retention, deletion, and contact options and is incorporated into these Terms.

Changes

CHESS/RUPT may update these Terms when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. If you continue using CHESS/RUPT after updated Terms take effect, the updated Terms apply to that continued use, subject to any notice or consent required by law.
