Privacy Policy

Overview

This website is operated by Ankur Gupta LLC ("Ankur Gupta," "we," or "us"). It is a public portfolio and link hub for independent games and creative work. We use Google Analytics for limited, aggregate measurement only. We do not collect full browsing histories or build user profiles for advertising.

Information collected

The site does not require accounts or login. Our hosting and delivery providers may process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, and error logs for reliability.

If you email me, I receive the email address and information you choose to include, and use it only to manage support and correspondence.

Purposes and legal bases

We use technical logs for delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting; analytics for the aggregate measurement described below; and email information to answer messages and handle privacy requests. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent for optional analytics and on legitimate interests, contract, or legal obligations for operation, security, and correspondence as applicable to the request.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) measures aggregate page views, tagged outbound clicks, and basic engagement events such as scrolls. After you accept, Google may receive coarse technical information such as browser, device, approximate network, page path, and the clicked link's hostname. We do not send names, email addresses, form contents, or other user-entered text to Google Analytics.

Analytics are denied by default and loaded only after you explicitly choose Accept in the first-visit banner. Choosing Decline leaves the site fully usable and keeps analytics disabled.

When analytics is enabled, we use minimization settings, keep advertising storage and advertising features disabled, and do not add remarketing or other advertising pixels.

External links

This website links to CHESS/RUPT, Mixagerie, Impossible Coasters, Critter Quibbles and third-party social platforms. Those services operate under their own privacy policies.

Sharing and retention

Ankur Gupta does not sell personal information. Data may be processed by the hosting and delivery providers as necessary to operate and secure the website, or disclosed if required by law. Google Analytics data is governed by Google's privacy policy. Email correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed.

International processing

Ankur Gupta LLC is based in the United States. Hosting, analytics, and email providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they or their service providers operate. Those providers apply their own terms and safeguards; ask us for more information about a request involving data we control.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing, and to withdraw analytics consent. Email me@ankgupta.com with the request and enough context for us to locate the relevant information. We may need to verify a request and may retain information when required for security, legal, or dispute purposes. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.

Children

This general-audience portfolio is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children's names, accounts, or contact details through the website. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact me@ankgupta.com so we can review it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this notice when the site, vendors, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected here before the related feature is released where practicable.
