Critter Quibbles Privacy Policy

Overview

Critter Quibbles minimizes data collection. Core gameplay, settings, puzzle progress, and customization choices stay on your device unless you choose to use an Apple service, make or restore a purchase, open an external community link, or contact support. Critter Quibbles does not display advertising and does not use tracking, attribution, advertising identifiers, a player-account backend, cloud saves, or remote analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Critter Quibbles is operated by Ankur Gupta LLC, a United States limited liability company (“Critter Quibbles,” “we,” or “us”). For personal information that Critter Quibbles controls, Ankur Gupta LLC is the controller or responsible business.

The App Store may identify Ankur Gupta personally as the seller of record. Ankur Gupta LLC remains the operator of Critter Quibbles and the controller or responsible business for personal information controlled by the game.

Information Stored On Your Device

The game stores settings and progress locally, including completed and unfinished puzzles, solve statistics, streaks, tutorial state, language, sound, music, haptic and notification preferences, and purchase-access state made available by Apple. This information preserves gameplay and your choices. We do not automatically receive these local records.

Local game data remains on the device until you reset it through an available app or system control, delete the app, or the operating system removes it. Deleting the app removes the game’s local data, subject to Apple’s normal backup and restoration behavior.

Apple Services

Purchases and restoration are processed by Apple’s App Store and StoreKit systems. Apple may link transaction information to your Apple Account under its own policies. Critter Quibbles receives verified product, transaction, subscription-status, and entitlement information needed to unlock the Archive, but does not receive your payment-card details.

Game Center is optional. If you are signed in, the game can display your Game Center name and report leaderboard scores and achievement progress through Apple’s service. Apple processes your Game Center identity, game activity, scores, achievements, and related information under Apple’s policies. We do not operate a separate player account or copy your Game Center profile to our own server.

Review Apple’s Privacy Policy, App Store privacy notice, and Game Center privacy notice. Apple-held data can be managed through Apple’s privacy portal.

Archive Subscriptions

The shared daily puzzle is free. The Archive is available through optional monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions processed by Apple. Prices vary by storefront. Eligible new subscribers may receive the introductory offer shown by Apple before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless canceled and can be managed from Apple Account subscription settings.

Local Notifications

If you enable reminders, Critter Quibbles schedules them on your device. Critter Quibbles does not operate a push-token server and does not receive your notification permission status.

Reddit And External Links

If you choose to open r/CritterQuibbles or another external link, the destination service processes that visit under its own terms and privacy policy. The iOS app does not send your local puzzle history to Reddit.

Support Messages

If you email support, we receive the address and information you choose to include. Support messages are used to respond, investigate issues, keep necessary business records, and protect the game. Please do not send sensitive personal information. You may ask us to delete a support message unless it must be retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Sharing, Purposes, And Legal Bases

App-originated information is processed only through the Apple services described above or when you intentionally contact support or open an external link. We do not sell personal information, provide local gameplay history to data brokers, or share information for targeted advertising.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of the app and purchase contract for gameplay and entitlements, and legitimate interests in app security, fraud prevention, support, and reliable operation. Apple and email providers may process information in countries other than your own under their own legal safeguards.

Retention And Deletion

We keep support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Apple controls retention for App Store and Game Center information it processes. Requests concerning Apple-controlled information should use Apple’s privacy controls and request channels.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent for personal information we control. Because Critter Quibbles has no player account or server-side gameplay profile, we may hold no directly identifying app record about you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. If you are in the EEA or United Kingdom, you may also complain to the data-protection supervisory authority where you live or work.

Children

Critter Quibbles is a general-audience game and is not specifically directed to children. It does not knowingly operate child profiles or collect names, birth dates, or contact details from players inside the app. Parents and guardians should supervise device, Game Center, notification, community-link, and purchase settings. If you believe a child sent personal information to support, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Security

We use Apple platform protections and data-minimization practices. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Website

ankgupta.com does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Its hosting and security providers may process limited technical information and strictly necessary cookies to deliver the page, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and protect availability.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy when the game, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected here before the related feature is released where practicable.
