Service and operator

These terms cover Scroll Shlokas, provided by Ankur Gupta LLC in the United States. Contact: me@ankgupta.com. Apple’s applicable App Store terms and any license presented with the app also apply. Nothing here removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Reading and beta features

Scroll Shlokas provides an offline reader, saved reading state, private notes and sharing. TestFlight builds are beta software and may change or expire. Hindi translation and study content are available only when included and reviewed in the installed build; a language setting does not imply that every content layer is available.

Your notes and device data

You retain your rights in the notes you write. Notes remain on your device and the app does not publish them. Use native sharing only for content you choose to share. Favorites, notes and bookmarks remain stored locally when a subscription ends; entering the app requires an active subscription or eligible trial. We cannot recover a local note after you remove it or delete the app’s data.

Source texts and attribution

The app identifies its source edition and applicable transcription licenses in Settings and source links. Public-domain source material and openly licensed contributions retain their applicable terms. The app interface, icon and other assets are separate from those source texts; do not assume a source-text license grants rights to all app assets.

The credited text adaptations and study summaries use CC BY-SA 4.0. You may copy, share and adapt them under that license, including commercially, with attribution and share-alike. These rights survive subscription cancellation and do not license app code or artwork. Download the complete licensed text package, credits and change notices without payment or an account. We do not impose app-license restrictions on reuse of these separately licensed text components.

Subscriptions and trials

An active subscription or eligible trial is required to enter the app, including the reader, study, saved passages and private notes. Its localized price, billing period, included features and any eligible introductory offer appear in the paywall and Apple purchase confirmation. A trial is offered only when configured and available to your App Store account. Do not rely on a trial claim outside that purchase flow.

Renewal, cancellation and refunds

App Store subscriptions renew according to the terms shown by Apple unless you cancel through your Apple Account subscription settings. Follow the cancellation deadline displayed by Apple. Cancellation stops future renewal; access ordinarily continues through the paid or trial period under Apple’s terms. Request refunds through Apple. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Restores and access

Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for the purchase. RevenueCat and Apple verify subscription status. Expiration, refund or revocation may end app access, but does not delete your local notes or reading state. Contact support if a valid purchase is not recognized.

Use and availability

Use the app lawfully and respect source licenses and the rights of people whose content you share. Beta features and third-party purchase services may be unavailable temporarily. We welcome reports of transcription errors, accessibility issues and purchase problems.
